Castillo de Calatrava La Nueva (Ciudad Real - Castilla-La mancha) Esta fortaleza se halla situada en la cima de un cerro en forma de cono a 936 metros de altitud, con una densa vegetación autóctona en sus laderas y en su base rodeado de grandes pedrizas o canchales que hacen difícil su acceso. El camino empedrado hoy existente se hizo para la visita de Felipe II a la fortaleza en 1560 y nos lleva hasta la base del castillo. Su situación controla uno de los pasos naturales hacia Sierra Morena. No se conoce con exactitud el año inicial de su construcción, si bien hay referencias de su uso por Nuño de Lara en 1187 como antiguo Castillo de Dueñas.
En 1191 Rodrigo Gutiérrez Girón y su segunda mujer, Jimena, donaron por sus almas a la Orden de Calatrava la mitad de las rentas y heredades que tenían en este antiguo Castillo de Dueñas, dejando expresamente la mitad de las rentas a favor de los hijos del primer matrimonio del donante. Tres años después, éstos vendieron a la Orden de Calatrava sus derechos en el castillo por la suma de 1000 maravedís.
En 1201, Alfonso VIII confirmaba a los calatravos la propiedad íntegra del castillo. En 1211 los musulmanes recuperaron el cercano Castillo de Salvatierra (Justo frente a este, al otro lado del valle y sobre un cerro de menor altura.ambos dominaban el paso hacia Andalucía) y que no volvería al dominio de los cristianos hasta 1226; esto reforzó la importancia estratégica del cerro donde se encontraba el castillo de Dueñas.
La fortaleza actual es de grandes dimensiones (46 000 metros cuadrados), y fue construida por los caballeros calatravos en los años 1213 a 1217, después de la batalla de las Navas de Tolosa, empleando como mano de obra a buena parte de prisioneros tomados en dicha batalla. Una vez erigida, se convirtió en sede de la Orden de Calatrava, y en una de las más importantes fortalezas de Castilla. Su historia corre pareja a la de la propia Orden.
En realidad se trata de un recinto bastante complejo, compuesto por iglesia, convento, hospedería, puebla y recinto externo, todo fuertemente fortificado. Desde la llanura se asciende a la fortaleza bordeando sus murallas exteriores y se llega una explanada donde se abre la puerta exterior del siglo XV, que permite entrar en el recinto externo o liza que está limitada por dos murallas casi paralelas. Este recinto se utilizaba para guardar el ganado, para alojar tropas en tránsito y para refugio de campesinos en caso de peligro.

After being at work from 6:15 am until 7:15 pm ... by the time I got home and ate a quick dinner, when I looked outside around 8 the sky looked like it could potentially be colorful. I debated whether to head out in a rush down to the river (about a 15 minute ride) ... and decided I needed to get a break from the stress of work and enjoy a few minutes of the day.
Was not disappointed with the colors ... here is a 10 second capture made with the 64ND (6 Stop) filter.
Interesting how by this time of the year the sun is setting way up river as opposed to beyond the end of the pier like it does in winter. Limits the compositions.

The heavily sought after 1966 Ford Mustang, a rare beauty in silver grey. this muscle car from the late sixties was a sleeper; often purchased as the family car and not really for its legendary good looks and performance. this original pony has no supercharger or high powered modifications but is still in the original condition by the original owner.
Often shown at local car shows but never raced or pushed beyond the limits of a family sports cruiser.

Une année encore riche en émotion ...avec le dénouement de ma bataille juridique. Oui après 8 ans de bataille et de résilience, j’ai gagné le 18 avril 2019, cette journée sera marquante. Retrouver une dignité m’a tant apaisé, instantanément ce fut un stress énorme de moins sur mes épaules et après 8 ans sans aucun revenu récupérer mes prestations fut un baume sur mes plaies.
La maladie est toujours là avec des douleurs qui sont de plus en plus vive mais le stress de la bataille est enfin dernière moi. Je sens une certaine légèreté qui me fait un grand bien.
Un cauchemar qui sans mon chum, ma famille et amis, jamais je n’aurais été capable de survivre. Je serais toujours reconnaissante pour tout ce beau monde que j’aime. Mais je dois donner une mention spéciale à mon amoureux qui a été là et qui est toujours la même si ce n’est pas une partie de plaisir à chaque jour.
L’argent ne fait pas le bonheur et bien je peux vous dire que c’est archi faux. Avoir été sans aucun revenue pendant 8 ans cela ma tellement limité. Je ne peux pas faire de grand voyage à cause de la maladie mais depuis ce printemps je fais des petites escapades avec mon argent. Des petites escapades dans la nature dans notre beau Québec pour y aller faire de la photo et partager ma passion.
Je me dois de revenir sur nos vacances sur la côte nord avec mon amoureux ou je suis tombée en amour avec les macareux sur l’île au perroquet. J’ai pu enfin gâter mon amoureux, ma famille et ami qui mon tant aider pendant toutes ses années.
Découverte de nouvelles espèces d’oiseaux comme le héron vert qui m’a tant gâter. De grand privilège d’être si près de cette faune qui m’apprend tellement et qui m’aide à garder le moral !
D’avoir acheté un kayak pour aller voir les huards seul, se fut un moment mémorable d’avoir réussi à sortir seule pour faire de la photo. Ce n’est pas quelque chose que je peux faire souvent car je vais presque toujours dépendre de mon chum ou de mes amis (car je ne conduis plus depuis plusieurs années) ... pour faire de la photo. Mais j’ai si je peux le faire quelques fois par année et bien je vais être contente.
La cerise sur le sundae est d’avoir gagné deux concours photos quelle belle surprise, une grande reconnaissance, fierté et cela m’a donné davantage confiance en mon talent. Quand tu as un travail qui te valorise cela aide mais étant invalide à la maison ce n’est pas toujours facile de se sentir valorisée. Alors le résultat de ses concours a donné un petit coup de pouce à ma confiance.
La vie a continué de m’apporter son lot de peine et de joie, j’ai vécu une grande peine en cette fin d’année et tente de recoller les morceaux …mais ce fut suivi d’une belle surprise!! une demande en mariage de mon amoureux après plus de 16 ans de vie commune. Et j’ai dit OUI hihihi , mariage intime pour 2020.
Cette image me parle beaucoup pour l'année 2019 et qui va être parfaite pour 2020. Continuer de persévérer, d'être déterminer et de foncer malgré mes limitations.

La chapelle du Try-au-Chêne est située au sud du village de Bousval en Brabant wallon.
Sa silhouette, flanquée de son érable sycomore, et qui se détache sur un large plateau de champs cultivés, domine Bousval depuis 400 ans. Bâtie en 1608, la chapelle du Try-au-Chêne est un monument important du Brabant wallon. De par son ancienneté, mais aussi de par sa position symbolique, sur une hauteur, à la limite de deux communes.
Sans oublier la statue de la Vierge (en chêne polychrome, de la fin du XVIe siècle). La chapelle du Try-au-Chêne fut érigée par Thierry Le Jeune au début de la pacification dans les anciens Pays-Bas Espagnols. Cet officier des gardes wallonnes, au service du roi d'Espagne, sauve l'archiduc Albert lors d'une bataille en 1600, avant d'être fait prisonnier.
En remerciement de son dévouement, il recevra 2400 livres avec lesquelles il achète la cense et la seigneurie de La Baillerie. La chapelle, qui accueille toujours la tombe de son fondateur, fut édifiée au lieu-dit "Try-au-Chêne", Try signifiant "lieu inculte". A l'origine, ce sont les cisterciens de Villers-la-Ville qui y disent la messe. Et à la Révolution française, l'un d'entre eux viendra d'ailleurs s'y réfugier.
Si la chapelle est classée (depuis les années 90), il en va de même pour le site.
Ce sont en effet environ 75 hectares autour de la chapelle qui font l'objet d'un classement.

Notice the green tinged feather tips on the black crown. This wouldn't be so prominent in a fall adult male. Also in an adult male the black on the throat would reach the bottom of the lower beak, and this bird has some yellow feathering there. A minority of adult females have a rather full hood, and can look similar to males. Notice the beak is more brown in fall birds of this species as opposed to a black bill in spring birds. Many warbler species sport a lighter bill color in the fall.
This young bird is in fresh fall plumage. Adult birds replace all feathers prior to migration, which is a good thing since many are worn from frequent trips thru vegetation to feed young. First fall birds like the one above don't replace wing or tail feathers this first molt, which is not so crucial as the feathers are fairly new anyhow. This partial molt of first fall birds often allows one to see what is called a molt limit. This is perhaps easier to see in birds with wing bars, but the alula, and adjacent primary coverts can give a clue as well. If not sure where the alula and primary coverts are in the image above a quick google search, or a glance at a bird guide should help. You can see how dark the alula and primary coverts are in comparison to the fresh olive plumage directly adjacent and closer to the face.

Tapia de Casariego (oficialmente Tapia es un concejo de la costa occidental del Principado de Asturias, España. Limita al norte con el mar Cantábrico, al este con el concejo de El Franco, y al sur y al oeste con el de Castropol. Tiene una extensión de 65,99 km² y su población actual es de 3851 habitantes (2017). Cuenta con una buena infraestructura comunicativa, atraviesan el municipio la autopista A-8, la carretera nacional N-634, y la línea de vía estrecha ferrocarril Ferrol - Gijón.
El concejo se articula en cuatro parroquias: Tapia, Campos y Salave, La Roda y Serantes.
A la de Tapia pertenece la villa de Tapia, capital del municipio. Y en esta parroquia se da la mayor concentración humana de todo el concejo, con más de la mitad de su población total.
La villa está situada a 10 metros de altitud y su puerto de mar da un gran atractivo a la villa, lo que unido a la cantidad de buenas playas diseminadas por todo el territorio hacen que sea un destino turístico de interés, tanto de las regiones centrales de Asturias como del resto de España y de Europa. Como efecto del turismo, su población aumenta de manera considerable durante la época estival.
El mar es el elemento paisajístico de mayor fuerza escénica. La conservación en el entorno costero de los elementos (prados, maizales, brezales y tojales) y usos (agrícolas y ganaderos) tradicionales y la ausencia de elementos discordantes (edificaciones, urbanizaciones, industrias, etc.) configura unas playas y acantilados de una gran naturalidad y belleza.
